FAQ
We’re open 10:00am to 8:00pm, seven days a week.
Bank holiday hours may vary — check Fresha or give us a call on 01708 898950.
Yes. Our clinic is on the ground floor with step-free access from Station Lane, and our treatment rooms are step-free too.
If there’s anything we can do to make your visit easier, call us on 01708 898950 before you book and we’ll sort it out.
For most treatments you’ll undress to your underwear. You are always covered by towels except for the area being worked on, and you undress and dress in private.
That includes our Thai massage, which we deliver on a treatment table rather than a floor mat, so it works the same way as the rest of our treatments.
If you’d prefer to keep more clothing on, just say. We’ll work around it.
Yes, of course. Let us know when you book and we’ll arrange it where availability allows.
Your appointment will still finish at the scheduled time, because we can’t run into the next client’s booking, and the full price applies.
We allow 5 minutes between sessions for changing and cleaning the room, so arriving a few minutes early means you get your full treatment time.
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and cash.
All prices include VAT. Your deposit is taken when you book and the balance is payable after your treatment.
Often, yes. Many health cash plans and private health insurers cover massage therapy from a registered practitioner, and some employers cover treatment for work-related pain.
Check with your provider first, then let us know — we’ll provide a treatment letter and itemised invoice for your claim.
Some conditions mean a treatment isn’t suitable, or needs adapting. Please tell us when you book if you:
- are pregnant, or think you might be
- have had surgery recently
- take blood thinners or anticoagulants
- have a history of blood clots or DVT
- have an active infection, fever or contagious skin condition
- are undergoing cancer treatment
- have any condition you’re unsure about
None of these is automatically a no — most simply mean we choose a gentler approach. If we don’t think treatment is right for you, we’ll tell you honestly and suggest what might be.
Yes, from 16 weeks to 36 weeks. We don’t treat during the first trimester.
Depending on your circumstances we may ask you to check with your midwife or GP first. Please contact us before booking so we can discuss it.
Yes, usually. Cupping leaves circular marks where the cups sat. They aren’t bruises — they’re caused by the suction drawing blood towards the surface — and they aren’t painful. They typically fade within 3 to 10 days.
Bear that in mind if you’ve got a wedding, a holiday or a photoshoot coming up.
Yes. A parent or legal guardian needs to give written consent and stay in the treatment room for the whole appointment.
Please book by phone on 01708 898950 rather than online, so we can check the treatment is suitable first. The parent or guardian completes the consultation form.
Drink plenty of water, avoid heavy training or a hot bath for a few hours, and expect to feel a little tender the next day after deeper work — that’s normal and usually passes within 48 hours.
Your therapist will give you advice specific to your treatment.
Choose any treatment of 1 hour or longer. An hour is the minimum needed to cover the whole body properly.
If you’d rather we concentrated on one area — a bad shoulder, tight calves, lower back — a 30-minute session is better value.
Our therapists are registered with professional bodies recognised for exemption under Section 4 of the London Local Authorities Act 1991, and the London Borough of Havering has been notified of their registrations.
What that means in practice: every therapist here has met assessed training standards, is bound by a professional code of conduct, and carries professional indemnity insurance.
It is also why many health cash plans and private health insurers will reimburse treatment with us.
We’re on Station Lane in Hornchurch town centre, between Frankies Wine Bar and Lloyds Bank.
- Bus: Hornchurch Town Centre — 1 minute walk
- Tube: Hornchurch (District line) — 10 minute walk
Yes. The nearest car park is Dorrington Gardens (code 41305), about a minute away. Pay and display street parking is also available at Mavis Grove (code 41945).
Tariffs are set by the London Borough of Havering and change from time to time — please check current charges on Havering’s parking pages or in the RingGo app.
Treat it like choosing any healthcare professional. Read recent reviews, look for an established practice, and don’t be shy about asking:
- Are you registered, and with whom?
- What’s your training and experience?
- Do you have professional insurance?
- How many sessions do you think I’ll need?
- Can my health insurance cover this?
We’re happy to answer all of those, for any of our therapists, before you book. If you’re dealing with chronic pain or an injury, we’ll point you towards one of our sports therapists.
- Your therapist will greet you and give you a short consultation form covering your health and any areas of concern.
- They’ll carry out a brief postural assessment and talk through what you’d like to focus on.
- You’ll have the treatment room to yourself to undress in privacy.
- Your therapist begins by warming the muscles with light compressions, then works into your chosen technique.
- Afterwards they’ll discuss aftercare and, if it would help, suggest follow-up treatments.
Tell your therapist at any point if the pressure is too much or too little. It’s your session.
The deposit. We take a deposit of 50% of the treatment price, per person, to secure your appointment. It comes off the treatment price — you pay the balance by cash or card afterwards.
- Booking online: the deposit is taken straight away.
- Booking by phone: we text you a secure payment link. We need payment within 24 hours or the slot is released.
Cancelling or rearranging. We ask for 48 hours’ notice.
- More than 48 hours: your deposit is refunded in full, or moved to your new appointment.
- Within 48 hours: the deposit is retained.
- No-show: the deposit is retained. We don’t charge anything on top.
You can rearrange yourself through Fresha up to 48 hours before, or just call us on 01708 898950.
If you’re ill or something genuinely unavoidable comes up, tell us as soon as you can — we’d much rather help than charge you.
By London standards our prices are competitive. Two reasons they may look higher locally:
We only offer what we’re qualified to offer. Our sports massage is delivered by qualified sports therapists who understand soft tissue anatomy — not by someone applying firmer pressure and calling it sports massage. If a treatment isn’t right or safe for you, we’ll tell you rather than sell it.
We don’t overwork our therapists. We don’t run back-to-back appointments. Our therapists get proper breaks, because tired hands can’t do good work. We’d rather do fewer treatments well than more treatments badly.
